Meet Dr. Bukachevsky

Dr. Roman Bukachevsky is board certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery.

“Dr. B” earned his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1986, and completed his residency in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in New York, where he also served as chief resident. He completed his fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center. He served as a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Otolaryngology at Irvine Medical Center, and as Chief, Division of Otolaryngology at the Long Beach Veterans Administration Medical Center.

Since 1992, Dr. Bukachevsky has been in private practice in San Luis Obispo and Templeton, California. In 1997, he established Central Coast Facial Surgery Center and Bukachevsky Center for Facial Rejuvenation to expand his specialization in aesthetic surgery and minimally invasive procedures. He is a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS), the American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, the California Society of Facial Plastic Surgeons.

Dr. Bukachevsky also performs facial reconstructive surgery for patients requiring repair of skin cancer defects, and those with congenital deformities (birth defects) and abnormalities resulting from accidents or diseases. 

Dr. Bukachevsky is an active participating surgeon in the AAFPR’s “Face-To-Face” (F2F) humanitarian programs, where he provides pro-bono services to benefit victims of domestic violence, and more recently, to veterans and active duty members who were injured while deployed in Iraq or Afghanistan. He also has given generously to San Luis Obispo County’s Stand Strong (formerly known as the Women’s Shelter); Food Bank; and the Maxine Lewis Memorial Shelter. He also is a member of the Flying Samaritans International.
